ABOUT ME

I have spent my working life in the arts including twenty-three years at Sadler’s Wells Theatre in London, producing national and international dance tours. Within my varied and extensive responsibilities, I have always been responsible for securing and managing large budgets.

Since 2019, I have managed the mental health charity, Heart Wood, founded by my husband, a person-centred therapist. Heart Wood provides group therapy sessions in local woodland for men living with long term poor mental health – an alternative to the traditional forms of therapy which they are unable to engage with. Having learnt on the job founding a charity from scratch, I have an understanding of everything that entails, with the financial management and reporting being a critical part of the work.
Since leaving Sadler's Wells, I gained my AAT Level 2 bookkeeping qualification, in order that I can share my knowledge working in a freelance capacity supporting local organisations and people with values similar to my own in my native North East.
